About me

My name is Rodrigo Gutiérrez Pedraz and I'm from Spain. I’m a guitarist and a music enthusiast, especially in Metal in all its variants. My whole life has revolved around music. I focused my musical vocation on studying an engineering specialized in sound and image, which I try to take advantage of in my productions from my humble recording studio. 
I’ve studied and practiced guitar since I was about 10 years old. And now, with much effort and enthusiasm I have proposed to make this musical project, JADOO,  where I have the collaboration of the incredible Berzan Önen on vocals. Jadoo consolidates with the release of its first album, Chain Reaction, released on October 26, 2022.

Jadoo means Magic in Bengali. It's a word that fascinated me when I read it in the book "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" by Tahir Shah. That's when I knew it had to be my band’s name. The magic of music, which gives us so many wonderful moments and can transform the world.

My musical references are mainly focused on the Metal. Currently I listen to Thrash-Groove-Power-Death-Heavy Metal bands...
However, I am not closed to any musical style. I played in a Blues-Rock band many years ago. Previously, at university, I recorded in the recording studio with Íñigo Uribe, the first keyboardist of M-Clan, a Spanish Rock band.

Over the years I have recorded several instrumental songs of my own, but it is on Jadoo that I have voices in my compositions and where I have made an effort to achieve quality production. Voices, by the way, of a singer with amazing potential and technique, which has given strength and meaning to Jadoo.
